If you care about actual cleaning performance rather than just advertised suction numbers, the Roborock Saros 10R is one of the strongest all-around choices right now. Independent testing is especially impressive on hard floors, although there is an important caveat for homes with lots of carpet and pet hair.

Why the Saros 10R stands out

On hard floors, RTINGS found its pickup performance outstanding, including fine dust and larger debris along edges and corners. Its navigation and obstacle avoidance are also excellent, which matters in real homes where cables, furniture, and pet toys are often in the way.

Carpet performance is more mixed. Vacuum Wars measured about 91.5–92% pickup of flattened pet hair on carpet, while Tom's Guide measured 98% pet-hair pickup in its carpet test. However, RTINGS found that the Saros 10R can leave embedded pet hair behind and may require multiple passes, particularly on carpet.

That difference is worth knowing because no single robot vacuum test tells the whole story. Test surfaces, hair quantity, carpet type, and testing methods can produce substantially different results.

What I'd choose based on your floors

  • Mostly hard floors + some carpet: Saros 10R is an excellent fit.
  • Hard floors + pets: Saros 10R is very capable, particularly because its obstacle avoidance can help prevent encounters with pet messes.
  • Lots of carpet + heavy shedding: I'd also consider the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra. RTINGS' direct comparison found it substantially better than the Saros 10R for pet-hair pickup and carpet cleaning.
  • Maximum convenience: Saros 10R's multifunction dock automatically handles dust collection, mop washing, drying, and water refilling.

Bottom line: For a genuinely mixed home, the Saros 10R is a very strong all-rounder, especially when hard floors and hands-off operation matter. But if your house has wall-to-wall carpet and a heavy-shedding dog or cat, don't assume the flagship model is automatically the best—the independent testing suggests the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra has an advantage specifically in that scenario.
